Gone too Long

I’ve been gone a long while.. it’s been about 8 days since I last posted here and I miss it. I’ve contemplated bringing along my laptop for this long trip but decided against it cos’ it’ll only be a hassle carrying it here and there. I’ll also be breaking a promise to myself, that is, never to bring my laptop overseas. I do not want to be stuck in my room all day, surfing the net and chatting on msn when I can be outside, exploring.

I will do several entries on my walking tour of Mission District, in SFO soon. I need to plan how exactly I want to present in on tumblr. I don’t think I will do a long post on it.. maybe in segments again.. :P

I just bought a lomo camera and I am super super excited about using it. I spent a bomb on the film and am still thinking if I should waste one taking pictures of things at home or should I save it for Australia or London?? I think I should practice on it first before I bring it overseas.. gosh.. I’m so excited!!!

I feel like I’m going on a camera buying frenzy.. cos aside from the lomo, I another spent 10 bucks on this vivitar camera at Walgreens (it’s really cheap)… it’s this cute little tiny thing that looks like a toy but really is a digital camera.. It’s so cute…so small..and so portable.. but the resolution sucks! *LOL* I couldn’t resist it’s cuteness and since it’s only 10 bucks.. I was like oh-what-the-heck-just buy-it! Same for my colleagues.. us 3 silly girls bought it for the sheer fun of wasting money on useless things. One of my colleagues commented that it’s so lousy that even his maid wouldn’t even want it if he bought it for her.. hahaha! Now I’m contemplating on getting a fisheye camera..

Why the camera frenzy? Cos’ I’m embarking on this new project. I want to create a photo scrapbook… I want to take pictures of things, people, buildings, animals etc etc using my cool toy cameras.. I think it’s gonna be a fun project. Something to distract me on my long trips away from home.. And since I’ve a blooming interest in taking photos, this would be an excellent time to play around with different gadgets. I do not want to turn pro.. I just want to play with toys :)
